Maha Galal MNZM
As a Registered Clinical Social Worker, I am dedicated to supporting individuals and communities with compassion and integrity.
Since March 15, 2019, I have focused on aiding victims of the Christchurch terror attack and have recently broadened my efforts to assist the wider Christchurch community. My work involves collaborating with government agencies to secure support and providing comprehensive mental health recovery services.
In 2021, my effort was recognised and I became Member of New Zealand Order of Merit for my Empowerment Project which focus on recovery of victims of the Christchurch terror attack.
In addition to my hands-on work, I am an experienced speaker on topics such as cultural competence and mental health, presenting at various universities and institutions.
I hold a postgraduate qualification in mental health and have studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I'm Registier Social Worker at New Zealand Social Regisitration Board (NZSRB) and Certified CBT Therpist from ANZACBT
